The Germans handed over TV sets as part of war reparations. The design of the TV resembles a tank. Paper capacitors are hermetic and in most cases do not require replacement. They were widely used in many other Soviet TVs from this period. A picture tube is the weakest link. With a bit of luck, you can find a set with a functional picture tube. I have several Leningrad T2 pieces. A completely restored TV must have the Soviet inscription LENINGRAD. This sign gives real beauty to this TV.
