The 16uF cap is still in place and I've had a very quick check on the grid resistors and all seem fine, but I will give it another good look over tomorrow. You could be correct that a cable may have become disconnected and will have to check this too. The internal wires on this amp are really thin so this could be the case (built at a cost!!) I really didn't expect this to be so hard in just swapping the transformer out!
