Like most forums, you can't send files by PM. Suggest you report your own post with a nice message to the moderators and see if they will let you in early. We hope you'll hang around here at GVR and contribute to our community. We're a pretty relaxed bunch who don't worry if threads drift a bit or ebay is mentioned (sensibly of course).
No worries, maybe it was a glitch before when it said I needed 15+ posts or perhaps I read it wrong. Either way though, have seen the drawing now & had a couple of questions regarding modification to work in a triode circuit. The reason I'm looking into building this is because I have a c.1936 Bush SAC35 which has been robbed of it's AC044/PX4 output & I'd like to have the set working while searching (indeed, to verify that the set is decent enough that I'd want to search.) for a more sensibly-priced original valve.
What I was wondering is to modify the circuit above, would it be as simple as having 2x approx. 3R resistors across the filament pins on the socket & connecting the cathode side of the FET circuit and omitting the G1 connection or is there more to it?
Many thanks for the welcome, both. Hope to gain a little more experience and insight into how these circuits function as I'm relatively new to all this (only been working on valve equipment in earnest for the last year or so).
Cheers, Dan.
