I agree, Trevor, but my AF Generator is in my workshop in town, whilst the 274A is sitting on my bench (a.k.a. kitchen table) here at home, and I don't drive, so have to get one to the other (workshop is 3/4 mile away) in order to use the genny on the 274A. I do have at home an AF tester I built many years ago, which outputs 100Hz, 1kHz, &10kHz square waves at variable levels, so can use that to isolate the fault.
