I bought a S/H TP link ADSL/VDSL/Ethernet router/modem in CEX for €20 because the Huawei supplied by Vodafone last Jan is rubbish in terms of being able to control anything. It's fine. Though Vodafone VDSL isn't reliable, esp. their gateway and DNS. I'm not renewing in Jan.
The VDSL connection restarts 1 to 4 times a day. No CS links any longer on website except for new accounts and Mobile.
You certainly don't want to spend too much time at it. Some TP Link models are good and some not so good. Some can run OpenWRT and some can't.
