I'm very well aware high value carbon resistors tend to drift high, Jeffrey, but was surprised to find a low-value one so far out of tolerance. I'll look for some modern, preferably metal film resistors, and maybe replace the half-dozen or so carbon types in the audio stages. After all, this radio is almost half a century old, which makes me feel old, as the firm I worked for all those years ago used to sell them, and I used to repair them in the 70s!
