In this case I did once meet the owner of the Clarion Stereo, and have, on occasion repaired things for him in the past without problems. AFAIK the stereo was going to be refitted to the Jaguar car from which it had been removed, so it should have been a simple matter of re-connecting the power, speaker, electric aerial supply, dimmer circuit lead, and of course the actual aerial lead to their respective points, then bolting the set back into the dash. I've heard nothing from the owner since I replied to his comment that the radio had failed when he refitted it, so, for themoment, the situation is unresolved.
