Thanks again for the help. I have the set connected via an isolation transformer and a lamp limiter. When I was given the set I was told it was in working condition, but I have found a couple of anomaly’s such as wrong voltage dial lamps and some components detached from the circuit board due to heat damage.
Yes I only handle set when switched off but what is the safest way to discharge the big dual capacitor, without damaging it?
