I can certainly remmber the years after 405 closedown(1985) and before the Dinosaur and Pineapple converters (c1992) when only a select few people had 625>405 converters. 405 line VHS or Betamax tapes were an important source of 405 material back then. I suppose I was one of the few because I always had access to the ex BBC CO6/509 at the Vintage Wireless Museum.
Apart from the CV2000 archive that the OP has found it's possible that a few interesting items are lurking on 405 VHS/Beta tapes. However since such tapes are likely to have been copied from 625 sources it's more likely that the same material survives in 625.
