Hi Steve.
Thanks again for your comments. Mine has a bit of history. I did a repair on a merlin that had a T69A tuner. The inside of the dial was very dirty and I removed it to give it a clean, unfortunately the lettering on the logging scale which I think was an afterthought came clean off. The customer was far from pleased and neither was I. I got a dial scan and was able to affix a copy with printable transparency paper, although not perfect it looked a bit better. The customer put up on ebay a search for a Tuner. Eventually the T99A turned up and he asked me to fit it, well it's 6.3v heaters not 4v so as I didn't want to faff around with power supplies I swapped the glass around instead. It would seem the later T69A tuner has the rotary plate and logging scale like the T99 the T99 also has and extra bass and treble position on the respective switches too.
Mine had been modified for an EF86 but I've rewired the base back to the 6BR7 its not wired as a triode in this tuner.
