Behaviour with non-interlaced video from Labgear bar generator confirmed. Looks just like Kevin's video. Other simple colour bar generators may well have similar non-interlaced output. Not really the Auroroa's fault that it can't cope with such a signal. The decoder chips are from a later era where you could reasonably assume a fairly standard video input. They can cope with VCR outputs and subcarrier that isn't in correct mathematical relationship with H/V.
