Remember Linux is free as is the bundled software. Its an excellent OS and take mind that Windows isn't.
For me Windows would never find my network printer, yes it did actually see it but it would never work, Mint in all versions that I have used finds it and it works beautifully from my wireless connected laptop to my printer (located in the shed) connected with a LAN cable to LAN switch, 15 meter cable to my router indoors, other items like a Bluetooth dongle and RTL SDR dongle are all plug and play. An old Acer notebook didn't work on wireless and no driver could be found, a wireless stick though was perfect.
I'd never return to Windows.
