Whilst on AP, there was a big storm around 1936.
I read somewhere that the chief engineer climbed up the tower in the dark to repair the
vision dipole's wooden frame. The sound was OK as an announcement was made about breakdown
in service.
I would like to know the name of this chief engineer so that I can search further
about this incident.
Can anyone name him, please or know anymore of this rather brave act.
We hear so much about the announcers of the time etc. but nothing of deeds like this,
carried out by the real stars of early TV and radio.
