Didn't explain how the K worked in the comments & I was curious. I was wondering if it's a dipole + director would the straight dipole be a better impedance match to the 75 ohms co-ax than the backwards sloping dipole of an X? BTW first time I've been on that site for ages, thought it had closed, thanks for link...
