My personal view is that such ideas have really been there in principle from the start. The succession of running horse pictures were really digitised analogue. I can see the difference you are inferring to here but there are levels of digitisation. It is just the technology catching up with thinking. It is maybe likely that someone had even thought of this many years before but the technology was not there? Thank you for the update.
