hi paula i have serviced a few of thease now which is why i took this one in the condition it was in, i have not come across the problem with the pots but cant be worse than a revox a77,but somthing to look out for. dont mind the mechanics on these (apart from hardend grease)since runing it for a few days it decided to not turn off and as you will know the on/off swich is a swine to get at, fotunetly for me it was only the supresser cap sc just removed at the moment , other than that it a great sounding bit of kit even on slow speed ,ps for peps who have not come across these befor speed is changed by simply putting a sleave onto the capstain
