Hi John, I've got a P45 on the bench at present , quite nice sets but mine has a pretty bashed up cabinet.
It looks like all the circuits I've found for mine have an incomplete parts list, resistors are OK but caps stop at C27 when there are 39 of them. All versions of the red books seem to have the same fault.
The big HT dropper (500 + 500R) had one section O/C, fortunately I had some nice cement ones to replace it with. I see this smoothing system is not used on the P 53.
