If they are going to stick with batteries they should all be of the same type and fitted from below the car by a machine below a bay.
When the car comes in the machine reads the meter on the battery and deducts the remaining charge from a fully charged one and swaps it out as quickly as filling up with petrol. Two batteries for a sports car and eight for a 40 foot tractor trailer.
Then charge them all up over night on cheap rate ready for the next day.
