When I lived down south they replaced all the 600V slam door trains with new air conditioned stock and rolled them out with all the trimmings and had a new train day.
It was a warm sunny spring day and lots of hot sweaty commuters hastily got on board and up went the loading on the air con units.
They didn't get far before the little red button popped out. They had to fit new transformers before it worked correctly.
I could not fins anything on the web.
The other photo I could not find on the web was the one of an early Eurostar pre HS1 that ground to a halt during voltage switching from overhead to 600V or the other way round. The pan had dropped off and was hanging down the side of the loco.
