Well no it is not that at all. It is a market place which brings buyers and sellers together from all across the world.
If you specialised in collecting a particular make of radio then you would never be aware of an extremely rare radio such as this one, being sold halfway across the country, if it were not for Ebay.

Good heavens, I have just had a tot up of what I currently have in my COLLECTION and it comes to about 325 items at an average cost of about £14 each, that surprised even me.
It includes service equipment, tv's, hifi and all my vintage radios and record players etc.
Out of these, more than 191 have been bought off ebay
36 from specialist events, BVWS auctions, NVCF, Audio Jumble etc
20 from bootsales
11 from forum members
and last but not least 3 from Gumtree, the market place for those who have never heard of Ebay.
The rest were either bought new over the years or come from miscellaneous sources.
So you can see with out Ebay I would have lot more room to move around the house, and more room for all the exciting items I would NEVER have the opportunity to buy because I was not aware of them.
So hooray for Ebay (even though I hate the controlling, money grabbing, b's )
