They use the permeability tuned FM tuner head found in all later Bush VHF series ...

To clarify this, I don't think Bush ever used anything else for VHF, did they?

All their Band I only TVs had them as did all their VHF tuners - including the TV53, TV63 & TV75 series sets which appeared  to be equipped with turret tuners.

I can't, in all honesty, recall exactly which was their first FM radio but I can't really see it having anything else than a permeability tuned FM head.

I could, of course be wrong ...

EDIT: The only set that gave any trouble, as far as FM is concerned, was the VTR103 - the AM/FM version of the TR82. Some of these suffered from acoustic feedback as, due to the confines of the cabinet, the tuning cores could vibrate if the volume was turned up. I think there was a modification in the form of a revised tuning core assembly with foam rubber damping pads but I never had to fit one myself so can't be 100% certain.
