The update is I was forced to look in Baltic States for Russian transistors. It seems the tit-for-tat sanctions may be a factor or possibly just the banking regulations. Lots of inland Russian tech firms sell 1C308 germanium transistors but they don't want to sell postal. Finally I found someone in the Baltics who recommends a better alternative for P transistors. If this seems a bit drawn out, you may recall my transistors simply pull out of sockets. So, before yanking any, I wanted a few spares Plus I am looking for supplies of other components. By the way, having worked in the Baltics I recall there were scores of antique stores with old Soviet radios.
