So far I seem to have successfully joined a Russian radio site. I was never too sure whether it could be a little awkward as relations between The Russian Federation, the E.U. and U.K. are very tense. Clearly for engineering and science students this is silly not to share our interests. The forum I am on is a USSR radio nostalgia forum. I've been told by the members that the Astrad Auriga is considered rare and highly desired in Russia. They asked me to post a pic of the set before it was dismantled. So, I uploaded a pic.
If I understand correctly the actual VEF stretches to 25 meters whereas the Auriga (as they correctly stated) is 13.
