What throws me in problem solving is I need a whole picture not segments. For example, in Mark's circuit we have voltage dividers but presumably the circuit reference points will differ. For example, cathode anode voltage and cathode grid voltage differ so collector base and collector emitter voltages too will have differences. Then phase comes into it later. To be fair, Mark's diagram has helped but my only gripe is it's based on NPN silicon which comes directly after PNP germanium. Isn't it the case base current is not the same in PNP and NPN (PNP sinks the current)? So, awkward as it may sound, I need the complex stuff to make sense of the simple stuff. So far we have varied voltages through dividers that bias PN junctions. The resistances of said junctions vary. We have a bipolar current flow not just free electrons in a vacuum tube. We have base emitter, emitter collector and base collector voltages. Now if those TV repairmen Terry knew got confused after 10 years in the trade, consider my predicament after 1 month.
