The amp at Dulwich would be commonl used for medium sized blocks of flats, large TV shop displays etc. Max gain is about 40dB and it has various features including the ability to have more gain at higher frequencies to compensate for cable losses. We were fortunate to have 2 such amps donated to the Museum, I understand they were used at a large TV dealer in their previous life. I don't know how much one would cost but it's tens of pounds, not hundreds. It would be gross overkill for a domestic setup. For up to 8 sets and a single Aurora you can do without an amplifier and still have more than 1mV at each set.
If you need to run more sets there are loads of CATV/MATV amps on the market. Terry can give better guidance than I.
