In the 'Vintage Valve & Transistor radio' section, I recently posted a question , and a couple of pictures, which, with hindsight, should have been placed in this part of the forum, concerning fitting new grille cloth to the baffle board of a Philips 274A 'Superinductance' radio. Four metal rods, each about 6" long were pressed into grooves around the speaker opening originally, and I haven't been able to find a way to press them back into place. The original cloth was stapled in place, but, not owning a staple gun, or being able to borrow one, I glued the new cloth in place with 'UHU', passed the three bolts for the speaker clamps through the board, and, after allowing the adhesive to set over ca. 24 hours, I refitted the speaker. When the speaker and it's baffle board are re-installed in the cabinet, a neat result will have been obtained, so I'm tempted just to leave it the way it now is. What are other members opinions on this one? (N.B. I've left out the metal rods seen in picture #1)
