Hi.
After some setbacks I eventually collected two projection set chassis from Norman Raeburn on Sunday.
I had offered to take the full sets from Andy Hood before he moved to France. Due to my redundancy it was not possible for me to meet up with him so they were left at Normans.
A day after they were left I got a frantic call from Norman to say the cabinets were in full flight with woodworm!
He wanted them away pronto and I had no way of collecting them so I advised he bin both cabinets.
Fortunately the chassis were saved as was all of the mirrors and sundries.
I decided that I'd have a good look before I made any moves.
One chassis was really only good for spares the other was tidy enough but had been well used with many repairs carried out over time.
I've now made a start on this chassis, its got multi faults. so far most of the electrolytics have been changed, a good number of the the caps have been done along with O/C resistors.
EHT, Line and frame run but for some reason the protection is coming in and there is no raster.
I'll post some pictures tomorrow and do some more fault finding.
The two chassis are from a Philips 1400 Projection set and a Stella S1148AF-16 (the best of the two)
