It's the Voxson type, yes. Very elegant and am hoping I can eventually bring it back to service. I only did some brief tests and, as I recall, it has 2 red and 2 black cables. I found that very odd at the time and discovered one of the red cables was connected to chassis. Anyway it was totally dead and there was a bit of surface rust on a part of the chassis, plus some battered, slightly gummy wiring looms. When I eventually get around to working on it I'll be sure to test the motor and then maybe check out the main transistor.
The last 8 track I fixed wasn't such a challenge. Most of that involved general clean-up, fitting a new belt, a bit of oiling and also fixing the actual 8 track tapes with new foam pressure pads.
