It seems to be basically the same hardware as the original Chinese/Taiwanese clones, but with some flashier s/w to do component graphics as a USP - the underlying firmware is slightly behind the official release which I believe is now 2.10 as opposed to 2.07 in the clones.
As a consequence, I suspect that the hardware mods I mentioned above which are needed to improve accuracy and stability probably still stand - I say "probably" as I've not had a chance to inspect this new variant - naturally, I could always be completely and utterly wrong on this...
FWIW, there is an LCR-T4 out there too, which seems identical in every way to the -T3. I suspect that too is just an attempt to say "Buy Me!" rather than buying one of the other 100 vendors offering much the same product
