Middle of last month a 220 ohm resistor @ 20 watts was mentioned. The nearest i could get at the time was 15 watt x 150 ohms. I fitted it powered amp up. Sounded great and after 20 min it went distorted and volume dropped. Also the new resistor was to hot to touch after the 20 mins. Since then I have renewed 2 power supply caps and the 2 2n0355 transistors and soldered input pins. It has been powered up twice for over half an hour each time. using a bulb in lime as a dimmer. Sounds are good but the volume control is just turned up a little and it's so loud. It was mentioned i need to measure the load then the equation for correct power resistor can be calculated. How do i read what load it's drawing. Why is it so loud. Will it be louder when i remove the dimmer bulb. Ps i had forgot about the resistor getting hot until i looked back at all of our posts. I will see if it still gets hot when i do the current load readings. thank you richie
