This is very kind of you Colin. The picture below shows the motor nameplate but the company possibly isn't the motor manufacturer?

I knew the motor was very old and would not be an original motor supplied by Lorch but now Stedall are involved it's highly likely as you say that Stedall could have supplied and installed this motor so in effect the motor might actually be the original?

The tool clamp is substantial Nick and unlikely ever to fail in service?

I've just sent lots of pictures to Tony at "Lathes" Big Al so I'll see if I receive a reply this time?
