Yes, if it does not cause a nuisance then I'm glad to hear that Ofcom will not see the technical illegality of pantry transmitters as something to pursue.
My own MW pantry transmitter runs 24/7 and although range does not go very far (garden use is limited), I also took the precaution of searching around with a SW receiver in case it happened to radiate harmonics much more efficiently. It didn't, so I can sleep at nights.
