At last this Wilmac restoration is completed and it's running very sweetly indeed; the new bearings have made a huge difference. I've spent the afternoon finishing it off and this included a trip to Huddersfield bearings to buy a new 3/4" bore insert for the driven pulley. I turned the new main-shaft upgrading to 3/4" bore bearings but forgot to reduce the pulley shaft end to accept the original 5/8" bore insert.
The new guide bearings are now installed as is a new 1/4" band so its ready for work. This Wilmac should now reward me with years of trouble free service; it certainly looks a lot tidier.
