Problems with Kenwood KRC759R

I've now received & downloaded the Service Manual, but it doesn't appear to include any instructions or diagram showing exactly how the FPC is fitted, so it looks as if I'll have to work it out, and also check if there is any other fault present. At least i now have circuit diagrams, which may be of some help! Since writing the foregoing I have found that i had inserted the FPC upside down, so no contact was being made between the front panel & the main PCB. That having been sorted, I'm now trying to work out how the FPC is routed through the rollers to allow the front to fully open & close. It looks simple but it ain't!! The moral of course is, make notes, or better still take pictures before dismantling. My only defence is that I didn't expect a 6 week delay between taking this on and finishing the job!!!
