Thanks for the suggestion Big Al but Gary is ahead of you; Bron and I never touch alcohol and certainly won't be seen in pubs; yes I'm a miserable so and so but but I get my highs from spending money on nice kit rather than booze. Each to their own though.
Good suggestion Gary and yes indeed I'm taking over part of the bandsaw not necessarily to have a trial blast but to ensure I get the correct medium; if the offer of a demonstration is there though I'll take advantage of it.
Last night I was awake in bed in the early hours thinking about the blaster and it occurred to me that the blaster might prove very useful next year and really justify the outlay; Bron and I have been considering our options regarding replacing the failed double glazing to our bungalow; we can see the benefits in having the lot ripped out and replaced by plastic but we do like our wooden frames. The softwood frames are original being over 50 years old and still in excellent condition due to regular painting. I'm thinking of using the blaster with soda to strip right back to the bare timber and if as expected the timber is still in good condition simply replace the glazing units then make a top class job of re-painting which I've always enjoyed doing once the rubbing down has been completed.
We recently bought top quality "Little Greene Paint" ready for the exterior painting next year and I also bought the expensive Fein multi-tool which will make removing the glazed units very easy so I think next year is already taken care of regarding yet another big job to do?
I've already done the shopping this morning arriving at a heaving Morrison's for 7 o'clock; I shudder to think what the store will be like by dinner time?
I hope your country is going to be kind this morning Big Al because you know only too well what it's like to live at the top of the world; 22 miles from here but if it suddenly snows on top it quickly builds into deep drifts; snow tyres are fitted and snow chains ready under the drivers seat so fingers crossed?
