As a general rule the bigger the tree the less likely it is to hang up but it can happen and has with me in the past, the last one was a spruce which was 85ft in length.
I don't have to season the stuff I fell at the moment Col as the trees I will be felling have been standing dead or hung up wind blow which has been dead for a number of years, the hard graft is getting those pesky little ones to hit the deck if they hang up, if the log turner doesn't do it there's always the Landrover, failing that it's letting them down in 4ft sections from the bottom which can sometimes be a dodgy operation.
