Ideally the waveform should be a sine wave. It would be interesting to look at the waveform on a spectrum analyser to see what harmonics are present. I suspect there would be a full range of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc harmonics.
It does show that the wobbulator matches the one in the video and should be OK to use to align IF amps etc.
