I wonder what the chip set is in that unit, it might be a clone design, if you can get the chip set numbers a bit of googling might reveal something, might be worth a shot.

Like most such devices, its essentially a PLC with an invertor - the PLC will be implemented as a state-machine in a micro-processor, i.e. all the "brains" are in software, not the hardware which is essentially just the interface to the real world.

The upshot of this is even if you can identify the actual chips in use, it won't help much as the problems here are all about software configuration, not the hardware.
