Hi,
I don't think its that important Gary regarding excluding all the moist air because such a job if done at home will most likely be done in warm dry conditions otherwise it would be pointless attempting it?
I'm sure you are correct Refugee; our units have been in place since the bungalow was built over 50 years ago and its unlikely in those days the units would be injected with gas?
Thanks for the interesting video Gary showing double glazed units being assembled. With the right equipment it's a rapid and very accurate process.
Thanks for your information Lawrence. I did wonder about any gap between the bottom of the unit and the bottom rebate eventually filling with water? Our units are fully bedded in putty and this might explain why they have lasted for so long? Due to the rare hot weather all the units to our front room have now cleared of mist but no doubt it will return shortly? The front bedroom unit is badly misted so this will be first to replace and as luck would have it the fixed unit is the biggest of the lot.
A good thread Gary as its attracted a lot of useful information.
Kind regards, Col.

Happiness is a wreck of a cabinet to restore.
