Interesting, the fact that you got it to oscillate by frigging it seems to imply that the transformer is ok, normally winding leakage or shorted turn kills oscillators.
With the correct values fitted what if any scope waveform is there on the grid of the 5763 (amplitude and frequency) ditto for the anode.
