Hi,
Have you tried emailing the companies on the web advertising Western Red cedar Nick with your requirements; you might get lucky and find a company who can supply against your cutting list?
I visited a local timber supplier last year wanting to buy oak for my computer desk project. I took along a cutting list handing this list over asking for a price for oak to cover the list. I thought it was taking a bit of time to come up with a price because I expected buying sawn boards?
I was quoted a very fair price for American white oak and as I was leaving I commented I was in for some work planing this lot up; the guy said why because he had quoted for the finished planed sizes on my list; this was fantastic service and saved me lots of time and heavy machining.

Above is one of a number of companies on the web who might help and paying delivery will be cheaper than having lots of waste if you can get a supplier to meet your needs.
I believe Western Red Cedar is a real health hazard without proper ventilation or safety equipment; I looked into western Red Cedar a few years ago as I was considering its use in making window frames.

I've just watched the interesting YouTube video above showing the installation of a cedar fence. The price quoted by contractors ranged between $10,000 and $12,000; ouch. The guy installed the fence himself saving over 50%. The post hole borer and nail gun were a huge help. I was very interested in the building in the garden thinking what a lovely workshop this would make also I noticed a couple of very nice pick up trucks. How strange to see gas meters sticking out of the ground?
Good luck Nick.
Kind regards, Col.
