Interesting American antique radio site with useful links to other sites

I had a fad on US 'plastic' radios and have a few. Some are better lookers than others such as the Belmont 6D-111, 1939/1946 Most are pretty standard circuitry and after you have done a few its enough with typical 5 valve performance.

This is a little better as it has an unturned RF pre-amp Philco 46-420, 1946. Better still is this Rca Victor 6 tube set with a tuned RF stage. It really does work well, sensitive and selective.

My taste is now for the woodies and this to me is particularly beautiful: Stewart Warner R-1262A, 1933. But the Crosley sets are stunning as well with some super veneer work.

I like the American woodies too, not got one though, I would like a Deco jobbie for our living room, there was a Majestic on Ebay a while back but I did not go for it.
