Product: as per Thread title.
Problem: on play, the tape tends to billow out and away from the capstan / pinch wheel - so after a few seconds, the machine stops.
Other data: Fault is manifest on various tapes: so the cassettes are probably above suspicion. Unit seems OK on FF and RW.
Now I know very little about video recorders, but based on my knowledge & experience of audio cassette decks, I suspect that this is simply due to a stretched belt or something slipping: wear, age, etc.
Any suggestions as to what to do to fix it will be appreciated.
