I gave the 'Spare Box' a good soaking in Plusgas yesterday and left it in front of the Garage Fanheater. The roof didn't blow off 
I had another look yesterday evening and the Wavechange switch turns OK, so I really have got a full set of spares.
I feel there are two obvious approaches:-
1. Change the whole box.
2. Just change the 'Volume' assembly.
The former has the advantage of also changing the coils and caps associated with the Reaction Circuit, but also other things, so it might generate more problems than it (potentially) fixes.
It was -5.5 over night and it's -2 now according to my Weather Station, so progress won't be brisk.
