To follow up on my post #12 above, I never could get the motor board out of the cabinet. Didn't want to use too much force for fear of breaking the woodwork! As a consequence, because I couldn't reach the rear transit screw to release it's clip, I was unable to carry out a degrease/re-lubrication of the mechanism, which meant that, although the player sounded very good, it's auto-change functions weren't fully functional. For one thing the 'Magidisc' size selector was stuck in the 12" position, so other size records must be played manually. Anyhow the owner accepted that these problems couldn't be rectified, and took it back 'as is'
