The cuckoo has had his beak painted:-
I've also given this one a clean:-
This was brought back by an old school-mate's Uncle from Germany during his National Service.
I've had it for about fifteen years in which time it's been kept going with libations of WD40 as it looked to have been made in a way that didn't allow dis-assembly; other than to smash it and hope it'd stick back together.
The cuckoo clock taught me something of the construction techniques and a clean was indeed over-due:-
The back being AWOL won't have helped matters so I've made and fitted one of those too.
