may be i should charge . but most of the jobs i do tend to fall into 3 groups
1.old people who cant afford mutch and if i did not repair woud end up in the skip
2. yougsters who have an intrest in electronics with loft finds and i show them how to repair .
3 sets and vintage hifi for my collection that get restored not just repaired.
im also not shore of the legality of charging for things that would not pas any safty test.
i agree about the comparison with domestic engineers who on the whol did not have to spend hudreds of £s on scopes and servie data ect.
i do sell some things at a proffit ie dansett record players and bush dac90a radios to a shop in cheltenham ,i think they are used as decorations but that is better than them being dumped
please some one explain why a bog standard dansset is worth £60 when say a hackes is worth £10?
