Hi i think the personal ferguson is cute but can give strange faults at times but carfull recap and solderup of the pcb can work wonders. there are itt valve portable out there which can give good results .I have one and its full of phillips mustard caps and when i got it it hadnt been switched on for years. so i gave it some mains and it just worked. But its upto you if you want a small set or a mid sized set. Danny
