That looks to be a useful bit of kit Lawrence, thanks for sharing the circuit with us all.
I got together the bits a pieces a while ago now to build a very similar psu but with semiconductors rather than valves, it uses the very useful LR8 device and a large current pass transistor. Unfortunately, the project is still waiting for me to put it all together!
