Thanks Steve, yes so far as I could see the bandset (lefthand dial) on the HQ129 has the same start and finish frequencies on all the bands as the HQ150, the bandspread (righthand dial) frequencies also appear to match up, the only difference I "think" I could see on the bandspread was the the logging scale is at the top on the HQ129 and on the bottom on the HQ150, however it is the bandset dial for the HQ150 I need (some hope...) I would think the dial diameters are the same hopefully, as part of the reduction drive is the dial itself driven on the edge by a couple of splayed washers under compression (like the old Paraset drive)
Yes Steve they are a good all round receiver, the Q Multiplier on them is very effective both on peak and notch. One RF amp only but if a signal is "on the wire" then the receiver will usually resolve it.
